Dr. Duane Abata, executive director of the Center for Bioenergy Research and Development and professor of mechanical engineering, has been named a Fellow of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
This honor is conferred upon active ASEE members of at least 10 years in recognition of their outstanding contributions to engineering or engineering technology education.
Founded in 1893, ASEE is a nonprofit organization of individuals and institutions committed to furthering education in engineering and engineering technology. ASEE's membership comprises 12,000 individuals, 400 engineering and engineering technology colleges and affiliates, more than 50 corporations and numerous government agencies and professional associations.
