Casey Receives Traditions of Excellence Award

Article Body

The Career Service Council at the School of Mines has given its Traditions of Excellence Award for October 2008 to Patricia Casey. Casey is a secretary in the Scheduling Office, and has been employed at School of Mines since October 2005.

The Career Service Council gives the award to someone who has performed their assigned duties at a high level or above and beyond expectations, who has taken the initiative to promote the concept of successful job completion and has promoted a positive working relationship with students, faculty and staff.

Casey's nomination stated, "She always goes above and beyond to get whatever needs doing done. She's always friendly to the variety of people who stop at her desk looking for everything from "where is this meeting" to where a specific class is being held, to getting towels, linens, etc. for all the people staying in the dorms during the summer.  Pat definitely needs a pat on the back for a tremendous job done!"
