Article Body
The Career Service Council at the School of Mines has given its Traditions of Excellence Award for September 2008 to Dick Brich. Brich is an agency integration specialist in the Academic and Enrollment Services Office, and has been employed at School of Mines since December 1999.

The Career Service Council gives the award to someone who has performed their assigned duties at a high level or above and beyond expectations, who has taken the initiative to promote the concept of successful job completion and has promoted a positive working relationship with students, faculty and staff.

Brich's nomination stated, "Dick's strong commitment to this institution is demonstrated by his willingness to do whatever it takes to make a project work and to supply others with what they need to be successful in their endeavors. Being the father of two alumni, he truly understands this institution and the everyday challenges students face as School of Mines students. There is no doubt that Dick Brich is an asset to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology."
