Looking for a fun, hands-on way to get your kids interested in science? The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, located in Rapid City, has scheduled a Super Science Camp for July 12-17, 2009.

Students will get excited about science in this camp! During this camp, students will explore physics (impulse and momentum; phases of matter; build catapults), earth science (geology of the Black Hills; water quality field trip; meteorology), astronomy (Mars; Hubble telescope; NASA; comets and meteors) and chemistry (safety; chemistry experiments).

Super Science Camp is an overnight, residential camp that gives students the opportunity to experience college life. Students will stay in the dorms on campus and eat meals in the cafeteria. This camp is offered to middle school boys and girls going into grades 6-8 in the fall of 2009. Scholarships may be available to students with financial need or good academic performance.
