School of Mines Hosts West River Math Contest -- Released May 5, 2009

The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology will host the 2009 West River Math Contest Monday, May 11.

More than 400 middle and high school students will come to campus to participate in the annual contest. Students compete in five divisions: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math and Master's Exam.

The day will begin with a general meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Surbeck Ballroom, with testing from 10-11:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Subeck Ballroom.
