On Tuesday, April 28, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology's student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will hold a special meeting to honor a professor emeritus and longtime supporter of the university.
Professor Emeritus Cyrus Cox will be honored for his service in preserving the heritage of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with the dedication of the Cyrus W. Cox Historical Collection. This collection will house historic books, equipment and memorabilia from Cox and the department. There will also be a dedication plaque bestowed.
The event will be held at 12 p.m. in the Electrical Engineering and Physics Building, Room 252. The event is free and open to the public.
