Engineers and Scientists Abroad (ESA) is hosting a fundraising dinner on Thursday evening, March 13, at the Canyon Lake Chophouse. ESA is a student organization at the School of Mines where students can apply their engineering and science knowledge on an international scale through humanitarian projects.
The cost is $50 a plate and money raised at this event will be used to fund three students to go to Chile and two students to go to Suriname to address humanitarian issues. Traditional Chilean food will be served at the dinner. Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. and dinner is at 7:00 p.m.
Lieutenant Colonel Tracy L. Settle, director for the South Dakota National Guard State Partnership Program - Suriname, Suzi Aadland, director of the Ivanhoe International Center, and ESA members will give presentations at 8:00 p.m. R.S.V.P. by Monday, March 10 at noon to esa@mines.sdsmt.edu.
