Dr. Dana Medlin, an associate professor of materials and metallurgical engineering, has been named an American Society for Metals (ASM) Fellow. Medlin was chosen by the society for his outstanding contributions to innovative design and development of medical devices, dedication to the development and education of future medical device professionals, and prolonged outstanding service to ASM.
In 1969, ASM established the Fellow of the Society honor to provide recognition to members for distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering and develop a broadly based forum of technical and professional leaders to serve as advisors to the society.
